Alex Mah, MD
Physician Overview
Alex Mah, MD is a Maryland native who hails from Rockville, Md.
He graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. He then earned his combined MD/Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, during which time he identified and characterized a novel protein, ubiquilin, for his dissertation.
After a one-year internship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md., he spent the next three years in Boston, Mass., where he completed his anesthesiology residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Dr. Mah served as the vice chief of the Department of Anesthesiology for eight years at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.
