Eligibility criteria
This one‐year fellowship is accredited by the ACGME and administered by TidalHealth Graduate Medical Education.
Given the nature of this fellowship, privileges as a limited clinical practitioner in the applicant’s specialty area at TidalHealth is a requirement.

- ACGME requirements:
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program, an AOA-approved residency program or a program with ACGME International (ACGME-I) Advanced Specialty Accreditation
- Completion of a master’s degree in business administration or another field related to healthcare administration, leadership and management. This credit must:
- Be limited to a maximum of 12 months (meaning if the fellow did a master’s degree program longer than 12 months, they can’t get a shorter HALM program for extra credit)
- Be approved by the program director and designated institutional official.
- TidalHealth requirements:
- Prefer to have a candidate that worked in the clinical setting for multiple years after completing residency before applying for this program
- Eligible for medical license in Maryland
- Demonstrated leadership in residency and/or clinical roles
- Have an MD or DO degree from an accredited university

- Review program requirements: Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for the program.
- Prepare your documents: Gather the necessary documents to complete your application.
- Updated resume or CV
- Official transcripts from previous educational institutions
- MSPE
- A personal statement or letter of interest outlining your background, professional goals and why you are interested in the program
- Letters of recommendation – minimum of three
- USMLE/COMLEX transcripts
- ECFMG status report
- Complete the online application form – hyperlink this again to the Smartsheet link to be sent. Be sure to provide accurate information and upload the required documents.
- Submit your application: Once your application form is complete and all documents are uploaded, submit your application for review.
- Admission decision: After reviewing all applications and conducting interviews (if applicable), the admissions team will notify you of its decision. Accepted applicants will receive additional instructions on enrollment and program start dates.
