
Application process
Program requirements
- Applicants must hold a medical degree and must have completed an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency by the time of enrollment in the fellowship program
- The ability to obtain a Maryland and Delaware medical license
Required documentation
- Three letters of recommendation, one of which should be from the program director of the residency program
- Curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
- Medical school transcripts
- USMLE/COMLEX scores
U.S. medical school graduates
- Completion of medical school in four years, or the minimum time required for degree, unless satisfactory extenuating circumstances are documented
- No more than one failed attempt on any medical school course or portion of the USMLE or COMLEX
International medical graduates (IMGs)
- Successful completion of medical education from an accredited medical school
- Certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
- Documentation of United States citizenship, permanent residency or lawful status
- Clinical experience from working in the United States is preferred.
- Graduation from medical school within the last five years — if more than five years, must provide documentation of proven clinical work

- Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). All applicants should submit their completed application through ERAS. Our fellowship program will begin reviewing completed applications in September. More information about applications can be found on the ERAS website.
