Application & Selection Process
Applicants should have graduated from an APA- or CPA-accredited clinical psychology Ph.D. or PsyD training program and be enrolled in or have completed an APA- or CPA-accredited internship program. Preference will be given to psychologists who have prior clinical experience in health-based psychology, working in a hospital setting, and conducting comprehensive assessments. U.S. citizenship is not a requirement for the fellowship.
The deadline for applications is Dec. 15, 2024 (11:59 pm EST). Interview offers will be sent by Jan. 10, 2025, for interviews in mid to late January 2025. We will adhere to the APPIC Postdoctoral Selection Standards and Common Hold Date (CHD) Guidelines for the selection of the 2025-2026 class.
The fellowship begins Aug. 1, 2025, and ends July 31, 2026. Certain onboarding and credentialing tasks may be sent up to one month prior to the start of the fellowship. In certain circumstances, fellows can request a later start date should their internship end later than July 31.
All applications should be submitted through the APPA CAS website. Applicants are required to submit the following: A cover letter, CV, personal statement, three letters of recommendation, transcripts and one or two de-identified reports (psychological, psychoeducational, neuropsychological, autism, etc.).
