Program Overview
The TidalHealth Postdoctoral Clinical Psychology Consortium is a brand-new and innovative experience for early career psychologists seeking unique and advanced training as they prepare to sit for licensure and become independent practitioners. Fellows will be afforded a wide range of training experiences, across multiple departments and three agencies, fostering independence, leadership, and clinical excellence.
For the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year, we will offer three full-time postdoctoral fellowship positions that are 12 months in duration.
While all three positions are generalist in nature, our training program is flexible and tailored to meet the interests and training goals of each fellow. Certain activities are required, but there are many elective opportunities to choose from to optimize the training experience. Our program is designed to build upon current knowledge and skill sets while gradually promoting independence and training in more complex, specialized areas of care.
Fellows will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatry, medical students, and residents, with the option of taking part in ongoing research projects across sites.
Applicants should have graduated from an APA- or CPA-Accredited Clinical Psychology PH.D. or PsyD Training Program and be enrolled in or have completed an APA- or CPA-Accredited Internship Program. Preference will be given to psychologists who have prior clinical experience in health-based psychology, working in a hospital setting, and conducting comprehensive assessments. U.S. Citizenship is not a requirement for the fellowship.
The deadline for applications is Dec. 15, 2024, at 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time. Interview offers will be sent by Jan. 10, 2025, for interviews in mid- to late January 2025. We will adhere to the APPIC Postdoctoral Selection Standards and Common Hold Date (CHD) Guidelines for the selection of the 2025-2026 class.
The fellowship begins Aug. 1, 2025, and ends July 31, 2026. Certain onboarding and credentialing tasks may be set up to one month prior to the start of the fellowship. In certain circumstances, fellows can request a later start date should their internship end later than July 31.
All applications should be submitted through the APPA CAS website. Applicants are required to submit the following: a cover letter, curriculum vitae, personal statement, three letters of recommendations, and one or two de-identified reports (psychological, psychoeducational, neuropsychological, autism, etc.).
