On Saturday, April 26, the Wicomico County Health Department and TidalHealth would like to encourage people to get rid of leftover medications safely by disposing of them in secure receptacles. This reduces the availability of prescription medications and the chances of someone misusing or abusing them. Since 2013, 6,123 pounds of prescription drugs have been collected in the drop boxes in Wicomico County.
