TidalHealth's Community Wellness team leads efforts to bridge gaps in healthcare by providing health screening, outreach, education, and resources in medically underserved communities.
One way we do this is by partnering with shelters and organizations supporting unhoused people such as Hands and Hearts Ending Homelessness which operates the cold weather shelter in Salisbury. This exceptional team lives TidalHealth's mission to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities by bringing their hearts to work and showing that they care every day.
Nonclinical members of the department also helped the effort by putting together homeless care kits to be distributed by the shelter.

Additionally, thanks to a partnership with the Salisbury Fire Department, the team was able to provide opioid education and Narcan kits as part of a grant funded through Maryland's Office of Overdose Response.
