TidalHealth Nanticoke is pleased to announce that Hannah Harris, CST, of the Medical Surgical Unit (MSU), has been selected as its Sunshine Award recipient for August 2024.
Harris was recognized for her professionalism, kindness, and compassion. Her nomination is provided below:
Hannah provides exceptional patient care with empathy and compassion. There are too many situations and interactions where she exceeds all criteria for this award. She consistently anticipates the needs of the patient, their family and her team.
Hannah goes above and beyond for each shift that she works. She often asks what she can do to make someone’s day easier. The MSU is a busy floor, and the nurses often don’t take time to properly hydrate. Hannah recognizes this and will bring a large cup of water and say, “Drink — you need to take care of yourself to take care of others.”

Harris was honored in a ceremony before her coworkers and presented with fresh flowers, a pin and a certificate recognizing her exceptional devotion to team and patient care.
