Delaware Team Recognitions for 4th Quarter 2024

TidalHealth Nanticoke honors the following four team members as 4th Quarter 2024 Team Members of the Quarter:

Administrative & Support Services: Erika Carmona, Environmental Services

Erika Carmona of Environmental Services is TidalHealth Nanticoke’s 4th Quarter 2024 Team Member of the Quarter for Administrative and Support Services.

Carmona was recognized for going above and beyond during an emergency with a Spanish-speaking ICU patient. While the doctors and nurses were all busy working to stabilize the patient, Carmona was called and asked to translate for the family who was in the room watching the traumatic event. The ICU team was impressed with her willingness to help in an unfamiliar situation, and the family was very appreciative.

Professional Services: Kimberley Zielinski, Medical Staff Services

Kimberley “Kim” Zielinski, BSN, RN, of Medical Staff Services is TidalHealth Nanticoke’s 4th Quarter 2024 Team Member of the Quarter for Professional Services.

Zielinski is a loyal team member with excellent knowledge of health care quality and regulatory reporting. Her attention to detail is fantastic and she always handles things in a positive manner. She keeps our facilities on track to meet deadlines and assists with many initiatives across the health system. People often praise Zielinski’s work, and they cannot say enough about how wonderful she is to work with.

Nursing Services: Brittany Becker, Intensive Care Unit

Brittany Becker, RN, of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), is one of TidalHealth Nanticoke’s 4th Quarter 2024 Team Members of the Quarter for Nursing Services.

Becker is the Clinical Day Supervisor of TidalHealth Nanticoke’s ICU. She is very organized and always planning proactively. She manages the unit's schedule and creates well-rounded orientation schedules for new team members. Her team looks to her for direction during emergencies. She ensures that care is priority-driven and that interventions are done in a timely manner.

Nursing Services: Milinda Miller, Emergency Department

Milinda Miller of the Emergency Department (ED) is one of TidalHealth Nanticoke’s 4th Quarter 2024 Team Members of the Quarter for Nursing Services.

Unit secretaries are unsung heroes whose crucial work keeps their departments running smoothly. Working in the ED can be stressful, but Miller says that "it’s not where you work, but who you work with that makes a job worth going to every day." She coordinates events for every birthday, bridal shower, baby shower, themed days and after-work decompression times to ensure her team feels appreciated.
