TidalHealth is pleased to welcome Samir Ahmed, MD, to TidalHealth Endocrinology in Seaford, Del.
Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences & Technology in Khartoum, Sudan; completed his first internal medicine residency at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi; completed his second internal medicine residency at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Md.; and completed his endocrinology and diabetes fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Ariz.
Dr. Ahmed is board-certified in internal medicine and a member of the Royal College of Physicians, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, the American Diabetes Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Sudanese American Medical Association.
Dr. Ahmed served as Chief Resident at Zayed Military Hospital and was awarded the Profiles in Excellence Award by the Chief Residents Association of Baltimore. He has led several peer-reviewed publications and case presentations, earning him recognition as best resident of the year, best resident in research and best resident in documentation.
When Dr. Ahmed is not treating patients, he enjoys tennis, football and traveling.
