TidalHealth's Graduate Medical Education (GME) program is pleased to welcome its second class of ten Internal Medicine residents and its inaugural class of four General Surgery residents.
A resident is a physician in training who is participating in a GME program. They have already graduated from medical school as an MD or a DO, but cannot practice independently until the completion of their residency. Physicians in a GME program continue their education, see patients and train for three to seven years in a specialized field under the watchful eye of a skilled and board-certified physician.
Last week, these new residents attended orientation and training sessions which provided knowledge and education to prepare them for rotations that begin this week. We are excited to have them as part of Team TidalHealth!
