
Robert L. Joyner, Jr., PhD, RRT, RRT-ACCS, FAARC, is the director of the TidalHealth Richard A. Henson Research Institute and supports research and scholarship activities across the healthcare system.
Joyner earned an associate of applied science degree in respiratory therapy from the California College for Health Sciences in 1989, a bachelor’s degree in respiratory care from Salisbury University in 1991 and a doctorate in physiology from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in 1998.
Joyner serves as a generalized research administrator, supporting efforts of residents, fellows and physician faculty. He has had numerous research articles published.
His involvement in the fellowship will include principal investigator training, research development, administrative and regulatory guidance for ongoing research and scholarship efforts, manuscript preparation, guidance during the publication process, and general day-to-day research and scholarship support.
