About Arash Bag

I'm a third-year medical student at PCOM and I am very excited to be part of the healthcare team at TidalHealth. I hope to bring the holistic teachings that PCOM has taught us into clinical practice by bringing evidence-based medicine into patients' control, advancing their recovery. My hometown is Pittsburgh, PA, where I went to the University of Pittsburgh for undergrad, and majored in Biology. I was also part of the Kendo and the running club while attending Pitt, where I got to compete in national tournaments. During my time at Pitt I did research on understanding the dynamic role of trauma and social networks for minority youths’ mental health after community violence exposure. As a medical student, I've worked in a research lab that is investigating a drug that can restrict the expansion of COPD disease mechanism. I'm also working on research that's helping shape how we treat orthopedic spine surgery, and I'm excited to hopefully push the field forward someday.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active by running, rock climbing, hiking, and chasing the dream of one day completing an Ironman. Salisbury's proximity to the beaches on Maryland's eastern shore has me thrilled for what's to come. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the diverse patients of Salisbury, and I am committed to making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the patients that come to the TidalHealth hospitals."
