Debra Sheets, DNP

Debra L. Sheets, DNP, NEA-BC, CPHQ, CSSBB, CHC, Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness/Corporate Compliance Officer and assumed responsibilities in 2023 for Corporate Compliance across the health system. She has been with TidalHealth since 2008. She is responsible for the areas of performance improvement, risk management/patient safety, accreditation and regulatory standard compliance, patient relations, clinical education and corporate compliance.  

In her tenure with the health system, Dr. Sheets has served Director for Special Projects, Organizational Development and Operational Performance Improvement. Prior to joining TidalHealth, Dr. Sheets served as Director of Education within the Main Line Health System in Philadelphia and in Organizational Learning within the within Holy Cross Hospital and Adventist Health Care in Maryland.   

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University, a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama.   

She holds a Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society of Quality, is a Certified Professional in HealthCare Quality and recently obtained Certification in HealthCare Compliance. Dr. Sheets has also served as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner from 2016-2018 and 2021.
