James Trumble, MD

James B. Trumble is the Vice President Clinical Integration and Medical Director of the Peninsula Regional Clinically Integrated Network. He joined TidalHealth in November 2018 and leads Clinical Integration for the Population Health Department. He is responsible for clinical transformation within provider practices, as well as leading and working several related state projects within care redesign and primary care.  He directly supervises TidalHealth practice transformation specialists and works closely with Care Transitions and Smith Island Clinic. Dr. Trumble also served as the clinical lead for the Maryland COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Clinic in Salisbury.  

Prior to joining TidalHealth, Dr. Trumble worked as an emergency physician and physician advisor for Case Management at Frederick Memorial Hospital.  

Dr. Trumble is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Certified in Hyperbaric and Wound Care Medicine. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, a Master in Business Administration and Master of Management from the University of Maryland University College, and Bachelor of Art in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.   

Dr. Trumble served on Maryland Hospital Council Stakeholder Innovation Group and currently is on the Care Redesign Steering Group and MDPCP Advisory Council, and he serves on the Board of HOPE, Inc.
