Matthew Matute

I am a third-year medical student attending Rowan Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine. I grew in North New Jersey and attended Rutgers University for my undergraduate degree where I majored in Biology. After graduating from Rutgers, I taught 8^th grade science in my hometown, Elizabeth for 2 years which was a fulfilling experience to give back to the community that helped me a ton when I was growing up. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends and travelling to different parts of the world. Physical activity and exercise have also been a valuable piece of my life. I played many sports throughout my high school and college years including swimming and soccer, but within the last couple of years, I have been focused on tennis, weightlifting, and running. 

I am incredibly excited for this new chapter of my medical journey at Tidal Health. This opportunity represents a significant step forward in my growth as a medical professional. I look forward to gaining valuable hands-on experience, expanding my knowledge, and refining my skills while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Additionally, I am excited to meet and collaborate with new colleagues, build meaningful connections, and contribute to a team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
