About Stephen Falchek, MD

Dr. Falchek earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, also in Philadelphia. He completed his pediatric neurology residency and an epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology fellowship, both at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

With more than 25 years of pediatric neurology experience, Dr. Falchek is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with subspecialty certifications in neurology with special qualification in child neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and epilepsy. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Epilepsy Society. Dr. Falchek has served on several academic committees and is an appointed assistant professor of pediatrics and neurology at Thomas Jefferson University/Jefferson Medical College and affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Falchek has lectured at regional, national and international conferences, authored peer-reviewed publications, and led research projects on a range of pediatric and child neurology topics. He is a founding member, current president, board chair and medical director of Exceptional Care for Children in Newark, Delaware. He is also a longstanding professional advisory board member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware.

Dr. Falchek has received numerous accolades, including being named a Top Doctor by Philadelphia Magazine for 11 consecutive years, as well as recognition among the Best Doctors in America and America’s Most Honored Top Doctors, to name a few.

In his free time, Dr. Falchek enjoys fine arts and performing arts, and is an avid supporter of artistic community institutions. He also enjoys playing the piano, spending time outdoors, and in nature.
