About Vrushank Shah
Entering my third year as a medical student at Rowan-Virtua SOM, my academic journey began at Rutgers University, where I pursued a major in biological sciences. Continuing my educational path, I earned a master’s degree in biomedical science before embarking on medical school.
My interest in medicine traces back to childhood, fostered by early exposure to anatomy and physiology through picture books and further nurtured in a vocational high school specializing in healthcare. From mastering medical terminology in freshman year to actively participating in pathophysiology competitions, my initial curiosity in anatomy and physiology has evolved into a keen interest in PM&R.
My dedication to medicine is grounded in a passion for learning and scientific inquiry. This commitment is demonstrated through my involvement in various endeavors, including contributing to COVID-19 vaccination grant projects, participating in community health worker grant programs, providing screenings in Atlantic County, N.J, and engaging in research on opioid use disorder and addiction.
As I progress in my medical journey, my goal is to become a practicing physician making a tangible difference in underserved communities. Through consistent community outreach and personal development, I aim to contribute to the health and well-being of those in need while growing as a compassionate and committed healthcare professional.
