Ana received her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Salisbury University. During her time there she also gained leadership experience during a DNP project, “Nurse-Led Advance Care Planning in Primary Care.” This project was to implement evidence-based nurse-led advance care (ACP) planning discussions with patients living with chronic conditions in a primary care setting. She is also the leader of the “Communication-Education about Advance Directives” strategic planning subcommittee at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.
Ana has worked at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional as an RN since 2010 and has been in Patient Care Management as a Care-Coordinator since 2014. She later became an accredited Case Manager in 2016 and is very familiar with outpatient resources in this area.
