Khurram Liaqat, MD received his medical degree from Lahore Medical and Dental College and University of Health and Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, of which his final year he was chief resident. Dr. Liaqat earned his cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel/Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, his advanced invasive heart failure/transplant cardiology fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, and his interventional cardiology fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.
Dr. Liaqat is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine-Cardiovascular Diseases, the American Board of Internal Medicine-Advance Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, and the National Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He is also a verified Registered Vascular Physician Interpretation (RVPI).
Dr. Liaqat has been involved in multiple volunteer projects including earthquake relief activities in Pakistan and has served on the Committee of Interns and Residents at Brooklyn Hospital in New York.
