Continuing Medical Education
At TidalHealth, we are committed to advancing medical knowledge to continue providing exceptional care to our patients and communities.
Program Overview
The TidalHealth Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program is dedicated to advancing the knowledge, skills, and professional performance of healthcare professionals across our region. Accredited by MedCHI, the Maryland State Medical Society, the program adheres to the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, ensuring educational activities are balanced, evidence-based, and free from commercial bias.
Our mission is to provide high-quality, locally accessible CME opportunities that support clinical excellence and continuous professional development. The program offers a variety of educational formats, including Grand Rounds, workshops, case-based conferences, and specialty lectures, designed to address identified practice gaps and support licensure and board certification requirements.
Through ongoing needs assessments and collaboration with medical staff and institutional leadership, the TidalHealth CME Program delivers education that reflects current medical advancements and aligns with TidalHealth’s commitment to exceptional patient care and improved clinical outcomes.

Program Governance and Oversight
The TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program is governed by the Medical Education Office, which maintains responsibility for accreditation compliance, program administration, and educational oversight.
The CME Program is coordinated by the CME Coordinator, who manages day-to-day operations, activity planning support, accreditation documentation, compliance with MedCHI and ACCME requirements, and ongoing program evaluation.
An interdisciplinary CME Committee provides advisory support to the program. The committee reviews educational priorities, offers guidance on program development, and votes on matters requiring committee input in accordance with program policy. The committee does not oversee daily operations of the CME Program.
