Explore the Eastern Shore

Ask any local and you’ll get pretty near the same answer every time. People here love — and not necessarily in this order — the beach, the seafood, the region’s history and the friendly folks making you feel at home.

Eastern Shore of Maryland

TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is located in Salisbury, Md., the largest city on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with a population of a little more than 32,000.  It is the central spot on the lower Eastern Shore, positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay in the heart of the Delmarva Peninsula.

In Salisbury, explore our free zoo and parks. We are home to the Delmarva Shorebirds baseball team and the National Folk Festival. Downtown Salisbury is home to many exciting events, restaurants and bars, as well as Third Friday, a monthly themed activity for the community.  The Eastern Shore is also known for its delicious seafood; go out and eat or catch your own!

Head east to Ocean City, Md., a resort town that sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the Isle of Wright Bay featuring miles of beach. Take a stroll down the iconic boardwalk lined with hotels, restaurants, shops, and amusements.  The Assateague Island National Seashore is where the wild horses roam. Enjoy camping, biking, and walking trails. The Eastern Shore of Maryland is not only close to beautiful beaches but surrounded by many small towns offering wineries, historical sites, parks, farm markets and small-town charm.
