Ivonne Herrera, MD provides expert care at TidalHealth Rheumatology in Salisbury, Maryland. She is dedicated to helping patients manage complex rheumatic conditions with personalized treatment plans focused on improving comfort, mobility, and quality of life.
Dr. Herrera earned her medical degree from the University of Zulia in Maracaibo, Venezuela. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by a rheumatology fellowship at the University of Miami, where she served as Chief Fellow in the Department of Rheumatology. She is board-certified in rheumatology and brings extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions.
An active member of the American College of Rheumatology, the Rheumatology Society of Delaware, and the Medical Society of Delaware, Dr. Herrera has more than two decades of clinical and teaching experience. She has served as a rheumatology instructor for medical students and residents at institutions including the University of Miami, the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and most recently within TidalHealth’s Internal Medicine Residency and Rheumatology Fellowship programs.
Dr. Herrera was in private practice from 2010 to 2026 and has contributed to numerous clinical publications and research initiatives.
