Catherine Casto, MD, an Eastern Shore native from Snow Hill, earned her bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and her medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. Casto is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has more than 20 years of experience treating women on the Eastern Shore. She is a member of several medical organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Casto has expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, complex cases including oncology cases, tumor debulking, complex vaginal surgery, and anti-incontinence procedures. She is committed to providing excellent medical and surgical care to the community and striving to improve the standard of care by collaborating with her medical peers.
Dr. Casto is a core faculty member for TidalHealth’s OB/GYN department and is the medical director of OB/GYN services at TidalHealth. She has authored several clinical publications and won several clinical and bench research awards. Additional honors include being voted as “Top Doc” for Wicomico County in 2024 and “Best OB/GYN on the Eastern Shore” multiple times.
