AGH social media transition: Frequently asked questions

When Atlantic General Hospital is renamed TidalHealth Atlantic on March 2, all associated facilities and services will also adopt the TidalHealth name, branding and website. This transition strengthens our identity and ensures patients and the community can trust the care behind the TidalHealth name.

As part of the rebrand, AGH social media accounts will no longer operate as separate entities. This change ensures that all communications are unified under one identity, making it easier for our community to find accurate, timely information and engage with us in a consistent way.

Why are AGH social media accounts changing?

AGH is now part of the TidalHealth family. The hospital's social media accounts are being consolidated under TidalHealth’s main accounts as part of the rebrand. This ensures all communications are unified under one identity, making it easier for the community to find accurate, timely information and engage consistently.

What will happen to AGH's old social media accounts?

AGH’s Facebook page will remain active as a child page under TidalHealth’s main page. All other AGH social media accounts will feature a post directing viewers to follow TidalHealth’s account on that platform.

Do I need to follow a new page?

If you haven't already, we highly encourage all team members, patients and community members to follow TidalHealth’s official social media accounts to stay informed about the latest news, events and updates:

Will AGH news still be shared?

Yes! AGH news, events and updates will continue to be shared on TidalHealth’s social media accounts. By following TidalHealth, you’ll stay connected to everything happening at AGH and across the entire TidalHealth system.

Will I still be able to find information specific to AGH?

Yes. AGH’s Facebook page will become a child page under TidalHealth’s main Facebook page, so AGH-related updates will still be available there. Other platforms will direct followers to TidalHealth’s accounts, where AGH news and updates will be included.
