June 16 Maryland Corps/Service Year Option Program interviews

TidalHealth is proud to announce its participation as an official partner in the Maryland Corps/Service Year Option Program, a statewide initiative designed to provide meaningful service opportunities for young adults while strengthening workforce pipelines across Maryland.

Beginning June 1, 2026, the application window will open for eligible participants. This program offers individuals ages 18 to 24 the opportunity to engage in a nine-month, paid service experience. Participants will gain critical real-world skills, building a foundation for future careers, and contributing directly to the communities TidalHealth serves.

Through this collaboration with Wor-Wic Community College, TidalHealth will deliver training aligned to the community health worker (CHW) role. Participants will be deployed across the health system in patient-facing positions, serving as either community health workers or supporting patient navigation workflows within TidalHealth offices and facilities. These roles are designed to enhance access, coordination, and patient support across the care continuum.

In addition to hands-on experience, participants will receive:

  • Mentorship and coaching from TidalHealth professionals
  • Structured professional development
  • Ongoing career advisement
  • A $6,000 completion award, providing a meaningful financial boost as they transition into the next phase of their education or career

TidalHealth is committed to supporting up to 50 participants in this inaugural year, demonstrating its continued investment in workforce development and the cultivation of future healthcare professionals within the Delmarva region.

TidalHealth will host onsite interviews from 11 am to 5 pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Wicomico County Library, Paul S. Sarbanes Branch: 122 S. Division St., Salisbury, MD 21801. Register online at EventBrite.
