The hospitalist team of physicians at TidalHealth Nanticoke was presented with the Apogee Center of Excellence (ACE) Award on Jan. 16 in West Palm Beach, Fla. for their work in partnership with other hospital departments and their dedication to excellent patient care.
Apogee is the largest physician-owned hospitalist group in the nation and is the company providing those services at TidalHealth’s Seaford, Del. hospital. A hospitalist is a hospital-based physician who provides care to and oversees patients during their stay in the hospital.
The team at TidalHealth Nanticoke met what Apogee says are their three main goals of achieving the ACE Award:

It’s what a well-trained hospitalist in a highly functioning hospital does.
More Signal, Less Noise
Is about workflow optimization, including optimization of the Electronic Medical Record and reduction in avoidable interruptions that may interfere with patient care.
Happy Hospitalists
The recognition that great experience for patients, families, and others on the healthcare team more often happens when the clinician is happy. Patients may not understand the quality of the care they receive, but they know in an instant if they feel cared about.

Trudy Hall, MD, TidalHealth Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer (CMO), accepted the award on behalf of TidalHealth Nanticoke and spoke on the “Power of Partnership” at the Apogee CMO Summit in West Palm Beach.
Apogee Center of Excellence and the ACE Award is an ongoing journey for clinicians and others working in a hospital setting and presented to only the best physician groups in practice.
