New visitor management system in Salisbury
As part of TidalHealth’s ongoing commitment to patient and campus safety, TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is implementing a new visitor management system. This system is already in place at TidalHealth Atlantic and TidalHealth Nanticoke.
Effective March 23, 2026, all visitors entering TidalHealth Peninsula Regional through the Frank B. Hanna Main Entrance or the Guerrieri Heart & Vascular Institute entrance must check in at the welcome desk to obtain and display a visitor badge.
As part of the process, visitors must sign an acknowledgement agreeing to a no-weapons policy; to refrain from illegal activity, verbal and physical abuse; and to refrain from video or audio recording unless prior written approval has been granted by TidalHealth. Visitors who do not agree to these terms will be denied entry.
Patients arriving for a procedure are not required to register with the visitor management system. However, anyone accompanying a patient must register to obtain and display a visitor badge.
Visitor check-in process
Visitors entering TidalHealth Peninsula Regional through the Frank B. Hanna Main Entrance or the Guerrieri Heart & Vascular Institute entrance must check in at the welcome desk for verification through the following process:
- Present a valid form of identification (state, federal, or other legally recognized) to register in the visitor management system. If a visitor does not have a valid ID, Public Safety will be contacted to verify eligibility for entry.
- A security receptionist will photograph the visitor’s ID for data to be included on the visitor badge.
- A security receptionist will photograph the visitor for inclusion on the visitor badge.
- Provide destination information for inclusion on the visitor badge.
- Read and acknowledge workplace violence and recording prohibitions. Visitors who refuse to acknowledge these policies will not complete registration and will be denied entry.
- Once registration is complete, the system will print a visitor badge displaying the visitor’s name, photograph, destination, and date/time.
Important: Visitor badges must always be worn visibly on the upper chest while on the hospital campus.
