Salisbury Sunshine awardee: August 2026

TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is proud to announce Nayeli Rayon-Osorio, CNA, of 5 East, as our August 2026 Sunshine Award winner. Rayon-Osorio received two nominations from patients who were touched by the kindness, empathy and genuine care she showed during their stays.

One patient, who had been on the unit for nearly two weeks, shared that Rayon-Osorio consistently checked in to make sure they were comfortable and had everything they needed. While those actions may seem routine, the patient explained that when someone is scared and hospitalized, that level of attention can mean the world. The patient also noticed the compassion Rayon-Osorio showed others on the unit, describing her as an example of how every patient should be treated.

A second patient shared a heartfelt message of gratitude, encouraging Rayon-Osorio to continue caring for others just as she does now. “You are kind and genuine. You have truly been an inspiration in my life. I can’t give you enough praise and thanks.” Through her compassion and dedication, Rayon-Osorio makes patients feel seen, supported and cared for when they need it most.

Rayon-Osorio was honored in a ceremony before her coworkers and presented with fresh flowers, a pin, and a certificate recognizing her exceptional devotion to team and patient care.
