Seaford Sunshine Awardee: November 2025

TidalHealth Nanticoke is pleased to announce that Jamesia Alphonse, clinical support technician in the Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU), has been selected as its Sunshine Award recipient for November 2025.

Alphonse was nominated by the family of a recent patient for her compassion, professionalism and exceptional service:

“My father came to the MSU at the end of July. We knew this was it in terms of end of life.

Jamesia was so compassionate, patient and kind with my dad. He would talk to her and light up when she was present. They talked about her child at one point, and Dad would ask her how her child was doing. Dad was not talking much or making much sense as time went on, but he sure knew who Jamesia was! She never entered the room without a smile on her face.

My mother and I cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation for her caring touch with my dad at the end of his life. She deserves more than an award, and my mom and I would like to recognize her for being a wonderful person to my dad.

We are so thankful she was a part of my father’s care. Thank you, Ms. Jamesia!”

Alphonse was honored in a ceremony before her coworkers and presented with fresh flowers, a pin and a certificate recognizing her exceptional devotion to team and patient care.
