Three honored as Guardian Angels for creating meaningful educational experience

At the heart of the TidalHealth Foundation is the Guardian Angel program — a meaningful way for patients and families to honor caregivers who made a profound difference in their medical journey through compassion, expertise and humanity. In this case, a community member thanked the caregivers and team members who helped create a lasting and meaningful experience for their granddaughter at TidalHealth Atlantic.

Amy Holloway, MBA, BSN, RN, CNOR, NE-BC, director of Surgical Services; Frank Nikolaidis, DO, anesthesiologist; and Christina Anderson, perianesthesia nurse manager, were honored for their efforts.

This information was shared at the Guardian Angel pinning:

"A community member recently shared their deep appreciation for the kindness, professionalism and welcoming environment they experienced during a special visit arranged within TidalHealth Atlantic. During this time, their granddaughter was given the opportunity to observe alongside clinical team members as she explores her dream of becoming a physician or CRNA.

They spoke about how meaningful it was to witness not only the opportunity itself, but the way it was made possible through teamwork, coordination and a shared commitment to mentorship and education. Every individual they encountered contributed to an experience that was encouraging, supportive and memorable.

They also reflected on the strong sense of community and neighborly values that were evident throughout the day — a reminder that what we do here extends far beyond clinical care, shaping lasting impressions for future healthcare professionals and the families who support them."

Holloway, Dr. Nikolaidis and Anderson each received a Guardian Angel pin to recognize the difference they made to this family. To learn more or to make a donation to the Guardian Angel program, visit tidalhealth.org/guardianangel.
