We're live spotlight: Amy Edwards
As we celebrate the launch of TidalHealth Atlantic, we’re highlighting the team members who make our mission possible every day. Their stories are shaping this new chapter in TidalHealth’s history and helping drive positive change in the communities we serve.
Today, we recognize Amy Edwards, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, TidalHealth Atlantic’s education and Pathway to Excellence manager. She was nominated by Erica Courtney for her steady leadership and meaningful impact as Atlantic General Hospital transitioned to TidalHealth Atlantic.
Edwards keeps her team motivated by being present, creating clarity around shared goals and celebrating small achievements along the way. She focuses on listening closely and responding to the needs that support her team’s success, with the goal of fostering an environment where team members feel supported, trusted and valued.
One of her most meaningful contributions has been her work with the Pathway to Excellence Program®, a designation bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center to recognize an organization’s commitment to creating a positive work environment that empowers and engages its team members.
Since the beginning of TidalHealth Atlantic’s Pathway to Excellence journey, Edwards has supported the development of a more authentic, engaged workplace culture by listening to nurses’ experiences, advocating for their perspectives, and helping leaders connect standards to daily practice. The experience has strengthened her leadership by emphasizing the importance of presence, relationship‑building, and leading change through trust.
As TidalHealth Atlantic enters this new chapter, leaders like Edwards are helping build a strong foundation for the future. Her dedication to collaboration, connection and continuous improvement ensures our teams and patients will continue to benefit for years to come.
