We're live spotlight: Angie Brittingham

As we celebrate the launch of TidalHealth Atlantic, we’re highlighting the team members who make our mission possible every day. Their stories are shaping this new chapter in TidalHealth’s history and helping drive positive change in the communities we serve.

Today, we recognize Angela “Angie” Brittingham, DNP, MBA, RN, CEN, CPEN, NEA-BC, CPHQ, chief nurse executive and senior vice president of Patient Care Services at TidalHealth. She was nominated by Jill Stone for her resilience, consistently positive attitude, respect for every team member, and her commitment to leading by example.

In her role, Brittingham ensures that TidalHealth’s clinical teams deliver care that meets optimal clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and the latest evidence‑based practices. She places strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration to maintain truly patient‑centered care across all delivery models.

As a member of the executive team, Brittingham represents Patient Care Services and ensures clinicians’ perspectives are integrated into strategic planning, operational priorities, and financial decisions. As the health system grows, she plays a key role in aligning and integrating teams across all TidalHealth locations to promote shared learning, resource coordination, and high‑quality care close to home.

Brittingham is continually inspired by clinicians across the health system. Their commitment to growth, innovation, and collaboration — whether in Berlin, Salisbury, or Seaford — strengthens their collective ability to solve challenges together. Though healthcare is demanding, she finds great meaning in the work and appreciates the camaraderie, celebration of successes, and mutual support within the teams.

She is also proud of advancing alignment across Patient Care Services leadership. By bringing leaders from all three hospitals together for shared development and in‑person collaboration, she has helped build a stronger sense of unity. A defining moment came when a manager said she no longer introduced herself by hospital location, but simply as part of TidalHealth — a reflection of the integrated system identity Brittingham has helped foster.

Brittingham’s leadership reflects the collaboration and shared purpose at the heart of TidalHealth. Her commitment to elevating clinical voices and unifying teams helps ensure patients receive high‑quality care across the system. As TidalHealth grows, leaders like Brittingham guide teams forward by creating connection, supporting innovation, and inspiring others through their dedication to the patients and communities they serve.
