About Dr. Mata-Fink

Ana Mata-Fink, MD, MS, FAAOS, cares for patients with shoulder conditions at TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute. She specializes in orthopedic shoulder surgery and commonly treats patients with shoulder pain caused by arthritis, rotator cuff tears, fractures, AC joint injuries and other shoulder injuries.

Dr. Mata-Fink works closely with each patient to understand their symptoms, goals and lifestyle. She believes in explaining each condition in an approachable way, answering questions, reviewing treatment options and creating an individualized care plan that supports the patient’s long-term health and quality of life.

Dr. Mata-Fink believes in providing specialized care for shoulder conditions using advanced training, the latest technology and a team-based approach. She works with her care team to provide timely appointments and remain responsive to patients’ questions and concerns.

Dr. Mata-Fink works to return her patients to the activities they enjoy. She is committed to making sure they feel informed, respected, heard, at ease and supported throughout their care journey.

Outside of Her Practice

Outside of work, Dr. Mata-Fink enjoys staying active outdoors through hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing. She also loves spending time with her family and exploring new places through travel.
