Christopher Shetler

Christopher Shetler, PA-C, provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a wide range of hand and upper-extremity conditions at TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute. He cares for patients with fractures, tendon injuries, nerve disorders, arthritis, sports injuries and work-related injuries.

Shetler provides both nonsurgical and surgical care, with a focus on relieving pain, restoring function and helping patients return to their daily activities as safely and quickly as possible. Patients can expect compassionate, personalized care in a comfortable and approachable environment.

Care philosophy

Shetler believes patients should be active participants in decisions about their care. He takes time to listen to each patient’s concerns, clearly explain the diagnosis and treatment options, and develop an individualized care plan based on the patient’s needs and goals.

For more than 23 years, Shetler has worked alongside Richard Kang, MD, providing comprehensive hand and upper-extremity care to patients throughout the Delmarva region. He is committed to clear communication, high-quality treatment and ensuring patients feel informed, respected, heard and supported throughout their care journey. 

Outside of his work

Outside of work, Shetler enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children. He is also an avid bow hunter and fly fisherman who appreciates the patience, challenge and connection to nature both activities provide.
