Katie Payne

Katie Payne, MS-OT, OTR/L, C-PAM, CHT, specializes in hand and upper-extremity rehabilitation at TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute Physical Therapy. She cares for patients with fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, arthritis, and conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, including those recovering from surgery.

Payne strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, valued and actively involved in their care. Through personalized treatment, education and clear communication, she helps patients work toward their goals and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Care philosophy

Payne combines advanced hand therapy expertise with a personalized, patient-centered approach. She believes strong relationships and clear education are essential to successful rehabilitation and works closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan based on their individual needs and goals.

Her goal is for every patient to have a positive therapy experience and achieve the best possible functional outcome. Throughout the rehabilitation journey, she works to ensure patients feel informed, respected, heard and supported. 

Outside of her work

Outside of work, Payne enjoys spending time with her daughter, Harper, and her pug, Nugget. She also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
