Robert Gordy, PTA, HMS, SCO, cares for patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation at TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute Physical Therapy. He works closely with the supervising physical therapist to help patients progress safely toward their rehabilitation goals and achieve the best possible functional outcomes.
Gordy provides guidance on recovery expectations, therapeutic exercises and strategies patients can use to manage their condition outside of therapy. He also offers encouragement and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
Care philosophy
Gordy believes patients should be active participants in their rehabilitation. He focuses on education, injury prevention and safe movement to help patients build confidence, improve independence and make lasting progress.
He maintains regular communication with the supervising physical therapist and the broader care team to ensure treatment is coordinated and tailored to each patient’s individual needs. His goal is to help patients reduce pain, restore mobility and achieve their highest possible level of function through evidence-based, personalized care.
Outside of his work
Outside of work, Gordy enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys playing golf.
