Shannon Rock

Shannon Rock, OTR/L, CLT, CHT, is an experienced occupational therapist, certified lymphedema therapist and certified hand therapist at TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, she specializes in the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity orthopedic and neurological conditions, including shoulder, arm, wrist and hand concerns.

Shannon provides care for patients needing upper extremity rehabilitation, splinting, sports medicine-related therapy and lymphedema management. She is committed to helping patients reduce pain, improve mobility, restore function and achieve meaningful goals in their daily lives.

Known for her compassionate and thorough approach, Shannon works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan based on their needs, goals and lifestyle. She strives to create an environment where patients feel heard, valued and genuinely cared for.

Shannon also emphasizes clear communication, education and collaboration throughout the rehabilitation process. She takes time to answer questions, review relevant medical information and work closely with patients, families and other healthcare professionals to support the best possible outcomes.

Care philosophy

Shannon Rock, OTR/L, CLT, CHT, believes in being an integral part of the orthopedic care team, providing comprehensive treatment for patients with a wide range of upper extremity conditions. She works closely with orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, physical and occupational therapists, therapy assistants and support staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Shannon places a strong emphasis on building trusting relationships with patients and their families. Through open communication, compassion and education, she helps patients feel comfortable, confident and actively engaged in their rehabilitation journey.

Her goal is to create a supportive environment where patients feel heard, empowered and confident as they work toward their treatment goals. 

Outside of Her Work

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active through fitness and outdoor activities, exploring nutrition and cooking, reading and traveling. She values a healthy, balanced lifestyle and enjoys discovering new experiences and destinations.
