Anticoagulation therapy

We provide caring, knowledgeable support for those taking blood thinners. Our team guides you with safe and effective anticoagulation therapy to help you manage your health and reduce risks.

At TidalHealth, anticoagulation therapy is provided with compassion and careful attention. Often called blood thinning, this therapy helps reduce the risk of harmful blood clots for people with certain heart conditions or after specific treatments. The most common medication is warfarin (Coumadin), though other options may be used depending on your needs.

Our Coumadin clinics are staffed by knowledgeable professionals and guided by experienced physicians. We work with you and your loved ones to monitor care, provide regular testing and adjust treatment for safe, effective results. You will receive guidance on how your therapy works, how to take your medication, and what to watch for in daily life.

TidalHealth prioritizes your safety while on blood thinners, offering education and regular monitoring to check blood levels and adjust therapy as needed. Our goal is to help you prevent complications while living your life with confidence.

What is anticoagulation therapy?
Anticoagulation therapy uses medications, often called blood thinners, to prevent blood clots from forming or growing. It is prescribed for people at risk for certain heart conditions, after some treatments, or when blood clots are a concern.
