MRI, CT scans, PET scans
At TidalHealth, we provide advanced imaging services with a focus on quality, safety, and compassionate care. Our team of board-certified radiologists and experienced technologists uses the latest technology to deliver detailed images and critical insights to support your health.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
MRI uses a magnetic field and radio wave energy to create detailed images of organs and tissues. It can help diagnose a wide range of conditions, from joint injuries to serious issues like cancer or stroke. MRI is painless, and our staff works to make sure you are comfortable throughout your visit.
CT Scans (Computed Tomography)
CT scans use X-rays to produce detailed images of the inside of your body. Our advanced scanners provide quicker scans with lower radiation doses while maintaining high-quality results. Options like spiral CT scans deliver even greater detail, and CT coronary calcium scans help detect early signs of heart disease.
PET Scans (Positron Emission Tomography)
PET scans are a type of nuclear medicine test that uses a small amount of radioactive dye to show how your organs and tissues are functioning. PET scans are especially helpful in diagnosing cancers, heart disease, and brain disorders. They are often combined with CT or MRI scans to give our team a comprehensive view for your care.
At TidalHealth, we are proud to provide these imaging services with compassion and expertise. Our team is dedicated to supporting you with respect, guidance, and reassurance every step of the way.

How should I prepare for my MRI, CT, or PET scan?
Preparation depends on the type of scan. In most cases, you will need to remove clothing and jewelry from the area being examined. Our team will provide detailed instructions before your appointment to ensure you feel ready and comfortable.
Are MRI, CT, and PET scans painful?
These scans are generally painless. You may need to lie still while images are taken. If you feel anxious or have concerns, let our staff know so we can support you during the procedure.
How will I get my results?
After your scan, a radiologist will review the images and send a signed report to your ordering provider. Your provider will discuss the results with you and guide any next steps in your care.
