Postpartum care

We are here to support you and your family with postpartum care that includes education, newborn care, recovery support and kind guidance from our dedicated team.

At TidalHealth, we understand that postpartum care goes beyond the delivery room. We support you and your family through every stage of recovery and newborn care, providing compassionate, family-focused care that helps you feel comfortable, informed and confident.

Comprehensive Postpartum Support
From birth, our private labor and delivery rooms allow you and your family to bond and recover together. We encourage skin-to-skin contact immediately after delivery and throughout your stay. Whenever possible, we support keeping your newborn in the room to promote bonding and ease of care.

Ongoing Care and Guidance
In our postpartum unit, you receive nurturing care, education and assistance with feeding and newborn care. Our team can connect you with classes, resources and educational videos covering breastfeeding, infant care and postpartum recovery.

Dedicated to Your Well-being
Every family’s experience is unique. Our specialists provide breastfeeding support, help schedule your baby’s first pediatric appointments and offer guidance throughout your recovery. At TidalHealth, you and your family are always at the center of our care.

TidalHealth is proud to be recognized for high-quality postpartum care. Our team earned platinum-level participation from the Maryland Perinatal Quality Collaborative (MDPQC) for our maternal hypertension stewardship initiative, reflecting our dedication to reducing pregnancy and postpartum complications and providing exceptional care to women and newborns.
