TidalHealth Peninsula Regional’s Von Kollmer is June 2026 Marc McDonald honoree

TidalHealth is pleased to announce that Maria Von Kollmer, Physical Therapist/Lymphedema Therapist at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, is the June 2026 recipient of the Marc McDonald Award.

Maria was recognized for her professionalism, compassion and commitment to the healing and well-being of TidalHealth’s patients:

“As long as I have worked in the wound center, over 17 years, Maria has worked harder than anyone I know. She works tirelessly to give patients the best care possible and to be sure they are well educated about their treatments and their role in it. She is excellent with her patients, listening to them and using humor to help them feel comfortable and informed. She consistently communicates with other health professionals to ensure continuity of care and works hard to get patients what they need for their care, in the clinic and at home. We are lucky to have such an amazing and dedicated provider, and I am lucky to have worked with her for so long.

“I have watched many nervous and uncomfortable patients come to see Maria in the lymphedema center and they all leave more relaxed and more educated about their situation. Many have commented that they appreciate her honesty and how hard she works to get what she needs for them to thrive.”

The Marc McDonald Award is given to TidalHealth team members in the fields of physical, occupational and speech therapy in recognition and memory of Marc McDonald, an outstanding lead physical therapist at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford, Delaware. He passed unexpectedly in 2022, but not before leaving a legacy of exceptional patient care.
