Thomas Beck, DO, FAOAO, FAAOS, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has been providing care to area residents and visitors for more than 20 years.
He completed medical school and his internship and residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). As a resident at PCOM, Beck trained with a team of physicians for the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers and 76ers. He continued his training by completing a fellowship in adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement) at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Beck served as the director of TidalHealth Atlantic’s joint surgery program for more than 10 years and was the first to perform several advanced surgical procedures, including Oxinium knee replacements, anterior approach for total hip replacement, Visionare patient matched instrumentation for total knee replacement, Birmingham Hip Resurfacing, the Journey XR knee replacement and, most recently, the CORI Robotic System for knee replacement.
Dr. Beck has been recognized for excellence in multiple publications including Baltimore Magazine “Best at the Beach” for Joint Replacement and Metropolitan Magazine’s “Best for Sports Medicine.” He currently serves as the division director for orthopedic surgery at TidalHealth Atlantic.
