Cancer Institute parking improvements during construction

At the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, we’ve heard you—and we’re making improvements.

As we’ve shared, the cancer institute parking lot had to be temporarily closed to make way for construction of our new Endoscopy Suite at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. We initially relocated parking and offered shuttle service, but your feedback was clear: patients wanted an option that was closer and more convenient.

We’ve acted on those suggestions. Beginning September 15, our temporary cancer patient parking lot will move to the corner of West Vine Street and South Division Street (see artwork). This new location is directly across Vine Street from our traditional parking lot, making it much easier for patients who prefer to walk the short distance to their appointment. A safe, clearly marked pedestrian path (shown in blue) is provided for those who choose to walk.

For those patients who prefer assistance, our free continuous shuttle service remains available by calling 410-543-7206. The shuttle will safely transport you to and from the cancer institute entrance.

This temporary arrangement will remain in place until approximately May 2026, when the cancer institute’s main lot is scheduled to reopen after construction is complete.

A reminder to our TidalHealth team: staff parking is not permitted in the new, designated cancer patient lot.
