Kurt Wehberg

Kurt Wehberg, MD has been providing nationally ranked cardiothoracic surgery to the Delmarva Peninsula since 2001.

He earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and completed his general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical System in Maryland.

Dr. Wehberg is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He has served as Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Chief of Robotic Surgery and Medical Director of the Thoracic Oncology program and CTICU, both at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. 

Voted "Top Cardiothoracic Surgeon" by Delaware Today Magazine in 2019, 2020 and 2021, Dr. Wehberg began the thoracic oncology and robotic surgery program at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. He has also authored many peer reviewed medical publications and international presentations.

When he isn't caring for patients, he restores antique Chris-Craft boats and enjoys history.
