The screening uses less radiation than a typical chest CT and is intended for people at higher risk for lung cancer.

Who should get a lung cancer screening?
Our team recommends lung cancer screening for people who meet these criteria:

  • Ages 50 to 80 years old
  • No signs or symptoms of lung cancer
  • History of smoking at least 20 pack-years (one pack a day for 20 years or two packs a day for 10 years)
  • Currently smoke or have quit within the last 15 years
