TidalHealth is pleased to welcome Ghazaleh Barghgir, MD, to TidalHealth Primary Care in Seaford, Delaware.
Dr. Barghgir earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Bridgetown, Barbados. She completed her family medicine residency at Saint Francis Hospital - Trinity Health in Wilmington, Delaware.
During her residency, she served as Chief Resident and was honored with the STFM Resident Teacher Award as well as the Stephen Permut Award, recognizing her excellence in medical knowledge, communication, teaching and dedication to underserved communities. She was actively engaged in community outreach, advocacy and scholarly work throughout her training.
Dr. Barghgir is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP), Medical Society of Delaware (MSD), American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM), and Delaware Academy of Family Physicians (DAFP). She delivers full-spectrum family medicine, including care for newborns, children, adults and seniors with a focus on preventative health and women’s gynecologic wellness.
She currently serves as an Advocacy Ambassador with the AAFP, is a member of the Advocacy, Communications, and Membership Committee at the DAFP (following her term as Junior Resident Director), and continues her involvement with the Bylaws and Ethics Committee at the MSD. She is deeply committed to collaborating with lawmakers to shape public health policies that enhance access to care and improve health outcomes within her community.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Barghgir enjoys cooking, doing puzzles, reading books and building Legos.
