Kiwanis Club of Seaford supports Drive for Mobile Mammography

The TidalHealth Foundation extends its sincerest gratitude to the Kiwanis Club of Seaford for supporting the Drive for Mobile Mammography, a fundraising campaign to launch the region’s only mobile mammography unit.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, but if found early, the five-year survival rate is 99%. However, many women on Delmarva miss their regular screenings because of financial and transportation restrictions, and a lack of care nearby.

In keeping with the club’s mission to promote education within the community, this generous gift will fund an educational station inside TidalHealth’s mobile mammography unit. The unit will bring life-saving breast cancer screening services and earlier detection directly to communities — even the doorsteps — of people who need it the most.
