Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship

The TidalHealth Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program is committed to training and developing future cardiovascular disease physicians to provide exceptional care in our community and beyond.

Our Goal

The TidalHealth Guerrieri Heart & Vascular Institute will provide fellows access to a variety of cardiac conditions and diseases, as well as the most updated technologies. Fellows will gain experience in the subspecialties of cardiovascular disease -- including electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, heart failure, cardiac imaging, and research -- to gain a well-rounded experience.

The program aims to not only develop high-quality cardiovascular disease physicians but also lifelong learners. This will be continuously promoted throughout the three-year program through various research projects and opportunities.

Welcome From Our Program Director

Welcome to the TidalHealth Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program! We appreciate your interest in joining us, and congratulate you on the completion of your residency journey. Our hospital, with roots dating back to 1897 as Peninsula General Hospital, proudly transitioned to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in 2020. The health system is well-known for clinical excellence and has been recognized with national awards.

We recruit three cardiovascular disease fellows each year. We have one program director, two associate program directors, one director of research and scholarly activities, and a program coordinator. Our six core teaching faculty members are experienced physicians dedicated to patient care and medical education.

Our program objectives include:

  1. Developing the community’s future cardiovascular disease physicians who are committed to advancements in the field.
  2. Creating a learning environment focused on education through scholarly activity and quality improvement initiatives.
  3. Enhancing fellows’ skills to diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of cardiovascular diseases in a diverse patient population.
  4. Providing fellows with high-quality supervision, education, and mentorship to develop foundational skills and knowledge in cardiology, including electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, heart failure, cardiac imaging, and research.

Our goal is to provide you with a strong knowledge base and the clinical tools needed to deliver excellent, patient-centered cardiovascular care. This will allow you to confidently pursue your goals, whether as an exceptional community clinical cardiologist or in further subspecialty training.

Our ACGME-accredited three-year general cardiology fellowship program offers three positions annually, emphasizing graduated clinical responsibilities and self-motivated learning. As you progress, your independent clinical decision-making and responsibilities will increase. Our dedicated faculty is committed to training the cardiology leaders of tomorrow, ensuring you are well-prepared for a rewarding career.

I look forward to you learning more about our cardiovascular disease fellowship and wish you the best in your pursuit of a career in cardiology.

Sincerely,
Maninder Singh, MD, FACC
