Rheumatology Fellowship

The ACGME-accredited TidalHealth Rheumatology Fellowship is a comprehensive two-year training experience designed to develop future leaders in the field of rheumatology. The program provides in-depth clinical training in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of rheumatic diseases, including autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.

Our Goal

The TidalHealth Rheumatology Fellowship will train fellows for a fulfilling future as independent rheumatologists who will provide comprehensive, ethical and patient-centered care. While in the program, fellows will treat a variety of rheumatologic cases in a diverse patient population. Combined with a rigorous curriculum, immersive clinical experience and involvement in both simulation-based training and research initiatives, fellows will be equipped to lead in both clinical practice and academic settings. After graduation from the program, fellows will be able to independently address the needs of the diverse communities they serve, therefore fulfilling the mission of TidalHealth.

As the TidalHealth Rheumatology Fellowship unfolds, we find ourselves in the unique position of blending core rheumatologic concepts with evolving trends carrying rheumatology into the future. The Eastern Shore of Maryland and southern Delaware encompass a vast and diverse demographic population whose growth provides an opportunity to assess, evaluate and explore both individualized and population disease presentations. This mindset to patient management will translate to career paths wherever your careers take you.

The fellowship program is an ACGME-accredited program. The two-year program is designed to emphasize the multiorgan presentation of rheumatic diseases through extensive interdisciplinary exposure. There is an enthusiastic and dedicated department to support clinical research within the extensive TidalHealth network. Our program will prepare you to take on and tackle the myriad presentations of rheumatic disorders. This will be accomplished through didactics, educational seminars and direct patient management. We are dedicated to finding outside sources and educators to cement your learning and facilitate integrity and confidence as medicine and healthcare grow in complexity. Patient-centric is a concept that we take very seriously here at TidalHealth. This will be evident in the time you will need to care for and treat your patients.
